The 3 Criteria for Pass Guarantee
1. Your Effort
You must have reasonably used ALL the help made available to you.
- Practice Questions: Cleared** minimum 90%
- E-Learning/Audio: Spent minimum 1 hour
- CaseBuster* : Cleared** minimum 90%
- Mathathon* : Spent minimum 2 hours
- Online Mentor* : Spent minimum 1 hour
*if available in your plan
**To "clear" a question means to have answered it correctly at least once. In other words, the number of questions that you have never answered correctly before must be lower than 10%.
2. Your Readiness
You must have consistently scored at least 90% using the Exam Mode on 'Premium' or 'All' question filters using the Exam Mode. Do remember to tick the "Redo Cleared Questions" toggle.
Evaluating yourself in Exam Mode is recommended to be done a few times after you have cleared at least 90% of the practice questions. Given that you have already done the same questions before, you should score at least 90% consistently.
3. Your Good Faith
Your claim may be denied if:
- You file a claim more than 3 months from the date of your failed attempt, or later than 3 days after you have booked for the re-test.
- You have clicked through the practice questions blindly in quick succession in a bid to meet the Pass Guarantee conditions without truly learning.
- You failed the exam due to any reason causing you not being able to submit all answers normally (e.g. late/no-show/technical issue/ended exam prematurely).
- You have used the wrong or outdated study guide / textbook to prepare for the exam.
- You have preconditions that considerably affects your ability to pass the exam e.g. extremely poor English skills, medical etc.
- You took the exam having not done any activity in your account within the last 24 hours leading up to your exam.
- You allowed a third party to access your account.
- You have not reasonably prepared enough for your re-test despite given extra resource (e.g. not much engagement with online mentor after being upgraded to Diamond).
- Your plan had expired before the exam day.
- You did not have the intention to retake the exam should you fail.
- Your plan or its upgrade/extension was not paid for in full (i.e. given, upgraded or extended on goodwill), or was extended after the plan has expired.
- You have upgraded your plan from Bronze shortly before your exam date, reasonably being deemed to do so just to be covered under the Pass Guarantee program as a form of "insurance".
What should I do if I meet the conditions but fail the exam?
In such an unfortunate event, please submit the claim form here. We will reimburse you the re-test fee capped at USD 200, or you can opt to upgrade to Diamond Plan without any top-up.
In the very unlikely event that you were to fail again, we will refund you the remainder of what you have paid for the main plan, excluding extensions/upgrades.
Example A:
John bought the Gold Plan price for USD 399.
He failed the exam despite having satisfied all the conditions. He pays the re-test fee of SGD 260 (about USD 200) before filing the claim, and receives the reimbursement of SGD 260 (capped at USD 200 for first claim).
John unfortunately failed the next qualifying attempt. He will be refunded of the remaining balance, which is USD 399 - USD 200 = USD 199.
Example B:
Jane bought the Diamond Plan for USD 1,000.
She fails the exam despite having satisfied all the conditions. She paid the re-test fee of USD 150 and was reimbursed in full.
Jane unfortunately failed the next qualifying attempt. She will be refunded of the remaining balance, which is USD 1000 - USD 150 = USD 850.
Example C:
Jenny bought the Silver Plan for USD 299.
She failed the exam despite having satisfied all the conditions. She paid the re-test fee of an equivalent of about USD 120, but instead of receiving the reimbursement, she opted to be upgraded to Diamond Plan for more help.
Jane unfortunately failed the next qualifying attempt. She will receive a full refund of what have been paid for the main plan - USD 299.
